The UK Rocks card has been created because there was no particular discount card for people who liked to go out and listen to rock music. For the last 3 years I have been in Salford University Rock Society. Because of this I have been an active member of the rock scene, knowing where to go on certain nights up and down the UK.

I helped form Manchester Rocks a couple of years ago. This was a collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester University and Salford university. With this group we ensured that certain nights were designated for certain music and all members of the Rock societies attended these nights. This made each particular night more musically focussed whilst giving a better atmosphere and allowing the group to negotiate particular discounts and offers.

All nights of the week were covered as well as travelling the country attending other great nights. My mission with this card is to extend this practice to encompass all rock related music across the country. This card is for any individuals who love rock music and wish to enjoy the company of like minded people as well as benefitting from any discounts available. I would like rock societies to advise me of any discounts they have negotiated with individual clubs with the intention of having one card which can be used throughout the country.

The cost of the card is £10 per annum.
